Another Fall and Winter favorite! This is a Charlestonian tradition from my mom’s Aunt Dottie. Honestly, couldn’t tell you who she was, but she must have been special to have her name attached to a delicious dessert 😉 Fudge is perfect snack or dessert for all holiday occasions. Simple and full of flavor, you can’t beat it. Pairs perfectly with your favorite sweater and a warm cup of coffee. Comment down below what you think!
Ingredients You Will Need
- 3 cups of sugar
- 2/3 cups of cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
- 3/4 stick of butter
- dash of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
Step-by-Step Instructions
- In saucepan, mix cocoa, sugar, milk, and salt over low heat stirring constantly until it reaches soft-ball stage
- Beat in butter
- Beat again
- Add nuts and vanilla and pour into a buttered pan
- Let cool and cut into squares
